Compare key counts (on a source with the OSS Cluster API on, add up every shard's count):
redis-cli -h redis-12345.c12345.us-east-1-mz.ec2.cloud.rlrcp.com -p 12345 --user default --pass "$REDIS_PASSWORD" DBSIZE
redis-cli -h my-db.cloud.kividb.io -p 6380 --tls --cacert kividb-ca.pem --user kividbapp --pass "$KIVIDB_PASSWORD" DBSIZE
Keys you skipped (probabilistic types) make the target's count lower by exactly that many.
Then spot-check random keys with the script in Migrate from Amazon ElastiCache: it compares each key's type, value and TTL, compares JSON documents, and works with a cluster on either side.
SOURCE_CA=redis_ca.pem TARGET_CA=kividb-ca.pem python3 verify.py \
"rediss://default:$REDIS_PASSWORD@redis-12345.c12345.us-east-1-mz.ec2.cloud.rlrcp.com:12345" \
"rediss://kividbapp:$KIVIDB_PASSWORD@my-db.cloud.kividb.io:6380" 2000
It reports a time series key as matching by type only; check a few by hand with
TS.RANGE key - + on both sides.
