KiviDB, run for you

Launch a KiviDB instance on AWS, Google Cloud or Azure in minutes, or in your own cloud account. Read replicas with automatic failover, snapshots, private connectivity, and usage billed by the hour.

Pick a cloud, a region and a size. KiviDB Cloud creates the database, keeps it available, backs it up and upgrades it, and bills by the hour.

A database, and everything around it

  • Ready in minutes A database on AWS, Google Cloud or Azure, with a hostname, credentials and a firewall that is closed until you open it.
  • Kept available On the Pro plan, a replica takes over when the primary is lost, and the hostname your application uses does not change.
  • Backed up An append-only log on paid plans, snapshots on demand, schedules you can switch on, and restores into a new database.

Your databases, in plain view

Metrics, a command explorer, schedules, configuration and logs for every database, and a Search tab that queries an index by keyword, by meaning or both.

The free tier is a 100 MB shared sandbox with a seven-day lifetime budget, one per owner. Availability commitments are set out in the service level agreement.

Run it the way you work

  • Console Metrics, logs, a command explorer, users, the firewall allowlist, snapshots and schedules for each database.
  • API and Terraform Everything the console does is an API call, and the Terraform provider manages databases and snapshots as configuration.
  • AI assistants An MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT and others create and inspect databases within the role of the key you give them.

Know before your users do

  • Alerts Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty or a signed webhook when memory, operations, p99 latency, connections or replication lag cross a line you set, on a failover, or when credit is running low, with a resolved notice when it clears.
  • Prometheus endpoint Every database serves the console's metrics in the Prometheus format, from every node, for Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog to scrape.
  • Maintenance windows Pick a weekly four-hour window. Maintenance KiviDB starts itself happens only inside it, and owners are emailed at least 48 hours ahead.

Access you control

  • Network Each database has its own firewall, closed by default. Private connectivity is available on all three clouds.
  • Sign-in Two-factor authentication an organization can require of every member, Google sign-in and single sign-on.
  • Stated plainly The trust center lists what is in place and what is not yet, so a security review has nothing to discover.

Your data, on your terms

  • Encrypted replication With TLS on, a Pro database can encrypt the replication stream between its nodes too, not only the connections from your applications.
  • Client certificates Require, or accept, TLS clients that present a certificate signed by your own certificate authority.
  • Exports to your bucket Copy every snapshot export into your own S3 bucket, Cloud Storage bucket or Azure blob container, on demand or on a schedule. KiviDB may only write there, and only into the folder that destination was granted.

Prepaid credit, no surprises

  • By the hour Each database is charged for the hours it runs. A new one needs a month of everything you run, so credit is never stretched across more databases than it can pay for.
  • Reserved for a database Set credit aside for the databases that matter. Others cannot spend it, and if the rest runs out, databases without a reservation stop first.
  • Told in time An alert on how many days your credit lasts, emails when it runs low, and a dashboard banner with the days left.

More than a key-value store

  • Semantic cache: Serve an LLM's answer again for a question that means the same, from your own database.
  • Agent memory: Each conversation's recent messages and summary, and lasting memories found again by meaning.
  • Data integration: Keep PostgreSQL and MySQL tables live in KiviDB, change by change.
  • Context gateway: One MCP endpoint for agents: tools over your records and your own MCP servers, with filters they cannot get past.
  • Vector search: Store embeddings beside your data and query them by meaning, keyword or both.
  • AI assistants: Operate your databases from Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients.
